Rich in iron (17% iron), Greensand has been used for more than a century to amend iron-deficient, high alkaline soils. Non-burning and easy to spread or mix, Garden-Ville Greensand is an excellent soil conditioner for lawns, gardens, trees and shrubs. Can also be used in Potting Mixes to reduce the need for watering. Garden-Ville Greensand is a natural mineral that helps loosen clay soils.

Greensand---Is an excellent source of available iron along with many other plant nutrients that settled to the bottom of pre-historic lakes and is now mined in Texas. Use up to 50 lbs. per 1,000 sq ft. or 1/4 lb. per sq. ft. In potting mixes use up to 20 lbs. per cubic yd. Greensand will remain available in alkaline soils while other iron products may lock up and become un-available.
