Leon Creek Waste Water Recycling Facility

TLM, Garden-Ville actively works with local communities to create new methods for reusing waste products.  By investigating and establishing methods for composting and recycling nutrient rich by-products previously disposed of in landfills, Garden-Ville promotes community beautification while creating high quality lawn and garden products.  This concept was taken to a large-scale level when TLM Garden-Ville entered into a contract with the San Antonio Water System (SAWS) to manage the Leon Creek Waste Water Recycling Facility in south Bexar County.  The Facility design includes an eighteen (18) acre improved concrete pad with storm water overflow collection.  Approximately 20 dry tons of anaerobically digested and dewatered biosolids are processed at this composting operation daily.  The processed biosolids are combined with ground brush from the City of San Antonio, clean dimensional lumber and yard trimmings as bulking agents, and screened to 3/8”.  The resulting “Natural Compost” is marketed as a premium biosolids compost.
